Chai Latte from the Percolator | The Petromax Recipe
Chai Latte is the Indian answer to the British tea classic. The popular traditionally Indian taste from the teacup is the trend beverage. The aromatic oriental spices impart special taste to the Chai Latte. Still, it is quickly prepared. In this recipe you learn how to prepare the superbly spicy Chai Latte yourself in the Percolator.
1. Fill the chopped black tea together with the cinnamon sticks, the cardamom seeds and the cloves into the filter basket of the Percolator. Pour water into the percolator and set up riser tube and filter basket.
2. Place / hang the percolator over a heat source and let the water boil. From this point let the chai brew for at least 10 to 12 minutes.
3. Take the percolator from the fire and remove riser tube and filter basket. Add cold milk and honey. The chai will then have ideal drinking temperature.
Tip: If you like the milk to be slightly foamy just briefly reboil the Chai mixture over the fire.
